Womenswear etailer Own the Look has smashed through its fundraising target in half the allotted time.
The business, which has traded for just over a year, has reached its initial target of £175,000 within two weeks of launching the fundraising drive on investment platform Crowdcube. It’s target was one month.
The etailer launched its fundraising bid earlier this month, and initially sought to raise between £175,000 and £250,000 for a 17.5%-25% equity pro rata share in the business.
Investors will benefit from a sliding scale of rewards including one year’s free delivery and discounts on orders.
The funds raised so far stand at 104% of the target.
Co-founder of Own the Look Olivia Cantillon said: “To have reached our funding target within two weeks of our raise is such an achievement and I’m very thankful for the strong belief in the business, the team and our journey of growth. I now look forward to entering the exciting period of overfunding!”
Earlier this year, Own the Look launched its first app.
The funds will be used to help Own the Look accelerate its growth via a dedicated ecommerce platform and digital marketing strategy.
