Panache recruits Denise Shepherd

Former UK head of Escada and Betty Barclay Denise Shepherd has been appointed as global sales director at lingerie business Panache as the Sheffield-based company plots further international expansion.

Shepherd will start on October 7 and replaces UK sales director Peter Cronin, who left in August to rejoin lingerie supplier Lepel. Her new role will have more of an international focus as part of a strategic move to target new territories.

Panache, which has 340 UK stockists, is sold in 53 countries and has offices in New York, Sheffield and China. Managing director John Power told Drapers last month the business wanted to duplicate the success it has experienced in Poland, Portugal and Germany, with France and the US a priority.

Shepherd said she was proud and delighted to be joining

Panache: “I look forward to working alongside the passionate team to further develop the brand’s international presence.”
