Berlin trade show Panorama will extend into an additional two halls and launch a footwear section for its autumn 16 edition.
The 107,000 sq ft of extra space will be split across halls eight and nine, with space for 110 exhibitors.
Hall eight will house the new footwear and accessories section. Brands will be able to choose between pre-built and do-it-yourself stands. Labels that have already signed up to the concept include S Oliver Shoes, Ara Shoes and Fly London.
Hall nine will host the new Nova concept, which will have its own entrance and shuttle stop. Panorama has described Nova as a “trend laboratory” where heritage brands and products are brought together with directional new collections.
Joerg Wichmann, chief executive of Panorama, said: “With our dedicated shoes and accessories hall, we want to address the fact that this segment is becoming increasingly important commercially.
“This new platform provides an alternative to the familiar formats that surface later in the season, since we offer retailers and exhibitors an opportunity to view and decide on shoes and accessories at an early stage.”
Panorama will take place on January 19-21 at Berlin ExpoCenter City.
