Pantone names ‘Greenery’ the colour of 2017

Pantone has named ‘Greenery’ as the colour of 2017, reflecting a desire to return to nature following the turbulence of this year.

The zesty yellow-green shade follows Marsala in 2015, Radiant Orchid in 2014, Emerald in 2013, Tangerine Tango in 2012 and Honeysuckle in 2011.

“Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalise, Greenery symbolises the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose.”
