Parisian menswear retailer AMI to open first UK store

Parisian menswear business AMI is opening its first UK store at 75 Duke Street in Mayfair this autumn.

The brand, which has three stores in Paris, was founded by Alexandre Mattiussi who has previously worked for Givenchy, Christian Dior and Marc Jacobs. The store will feature the full ready-to-wear men’s collection.

The move comes as the business plans to expand further in Europe, as well as breaking into the US and Asia.

Craig McWilliam, executive director of the London estate at landlord Grosvenor, said: “Duke Street is fast becoming one of the most exciting retail destinations in London’s West End, welcoming seven new retailers in the last 18 months. AMI is a fitting new addition and will play a significant part in ensuring this part of our estate is a great place to visit, to work and to live.”
