Italian footwear brand Geox has teamed up with British footwear designer Patrick Cox to launch a capsule collection for spring 12.
The collection signals the start of an ongoing collection between Geox and Cox, which will see the development of footwear collections for men and women that bring together active sportswear, city living and design.
The debut collection features 18 styles for men and 20 for women and the designs include wing tip moccasin and derby shoes with Geox breathable soles.
Retail prices for the collection, which will be sold in selected Geox shops and department stores in the UK, France, Italy and the USA, range from €100 to €150 (£86 to £130).
This is the first time that Cox has designed footwear since he sold his eponymous label in 2008. He said: “I want to create pieces that are casual in spirit and reflect London’s cool urban vibe building on Geox’s exceptional and innovative shoemaking technology.”
Geox chairman Mario Moretti Polegato added: “I’m very pleased with this collaboration that will further increase the value of our respective strengths and excellences. This new and innovative project will enable our clients to find designer shoes interpreting in a modern and contemporary way our innovative shoes technology.”
