Paul Drew is new UK boss at Denham

Denim brand Denham has appointed former JD Sports Fashion buyer Paul Drew as its UK country manager as it looks to bolster its UK business.

Drew, who joined last week, left his joint roles of buying controller at JD- owned menswear chain Cecil Gee and head of internet buying at JD earlier this year. He takes over from former Denham managing director Terry Bates, who left in April after three years at the brand.

Marianne Fay, ex-senior womenswear designer at All Saints, will take up the role of womenswear designer at Denham, also in June.

In correspondence seen by Drapers, co-founder Jason Denham said: “We are very proud to have Paul in our team, we are very confident he is the ideal candidate to move us forward in the UK.”

Drew will work closely with international sales manager Ben Sibthorpe, who is based at the premium brand’s Amsterdam head office.

Before joining JD in March 2011, Drew spent four years at etailer Asos as senior menswear buyer. Before this he was a buyer for contemporary and denim menswear at department store Bentalls in Kingston-upon-Thames.
