Paul Smith to combine men’s and women’s shows

Paul Smith is combining its men’s and women’s catwalk collections for the first time in January during Paris men’s fashion week.

The designer said it was a “natural step” for the business as the women’s ranges, established in 1994, have always had a direct design association with the men’s collection.

Sir Paul Smith said: “As an independent business, we can be very agile and address the changes in the evolving market in interesting ways. I’m excited to be taking the women’s catwalk show to join the men’s in the heart of Paris to where it all began in the 1970s.”

Scheduled for Sunday 22 January, the show will close Paris men’s fashion week and open Paris couture fashion week.
