Pentland Brands announces new charity partners

Pentland Brands, which owns Speedo, Ellesse and Berghaus among others, has announced five new charity partners.

Emerging Leaders, the British Council, United Purpose, Panathlon and SportInspired will all receive funding for projects that include leadership training at two Cambodian factories, online learning facilities for craft education in Thailand and sports festivals tackling childhood obesity across the UK.

The causes selected were chosen by the company’s employees, and support its goals to empower women from disadvantaged backgrounds and inspire young people in the UK to be more active.

Zoe Cokeliss Barsley, interim head of corporate responsibility, said: “We’re taking a strategic approach to our charity partnerships, supporting causes that really resonate with who we are as a company and have an impact in the countries where we operate. We’re really excited to be working with our new partners and can’t wait for the projects to get started.”

The partnerships will run until 2021.
