Pentland Brands promotes Matt Rock in management reshuffle

Pentland Brands has promoted Matt Rock, currently managing director of the lifestyle division, which covers Kickers, Ted Baker Footwear and Boxfresh brands, to global supply chain director.

He will be replaced by Marco Ellerker, who is currently managing director of Ellesse, Red or Dead and KangaRoos. A replacement to lead these brands will now be sought.

Rock has been in his current position for nine years and was sales director of Ted Baker Footwear at Pentland Brands from October 2005 to February 2007. He was previously a sales manager at Puma from January 2000 to October 2005.

Ellerker has held various senior positions at Pentland Brands, with responsibility for Brasher, Lacoste Footwear, Ellesse, KangaRoos, and Red or Dead since 2003. Prior to that, he was national account controller at Reebok from March 1998 to March 2005.

Sean Hastings, currently vice president of product and marketing at Speedo, has been appointed as global marketing director for Pentland Brands.

Jamie Cornforth, head of category strategy and planning, product and marketing for Speedo, has been promoted into Hastings’ old role on an interim basis.

Current managing director of Mitre and Prostar Carl Davies has been appointed global customer director and will be replaced in an interim capacity by Jon Godden, who is currently chief operating officer of the two sports brands.

Andy Long, chief executive at Pentland Brands, said: “As a business we are committed to leadership development and succession planning, so I’m really pleased we have been able to make these appointments from our own leadership talent bank. It means we can ensure continuity not only for our teams, but also for our partners, customers and suppliers.”
