Pep&Co will launch menswear into stores this November, managing director Adrian Mountford has told Drapers.
The offer will initially focus mainly on Christmas gifting and include Christmas knits, and basics such as T-shirts, chinos, polos, socks and underwear, before being extended for spring 15 to include things such as jeans, casual shirts and a small footwear offer.
At the opening of the value chain’s Maidstone store in Kent on Friday, Mountford said: “One of the big things we have learnt and in every single store [is] our customer is asking us for menswear. So we’re going to put together a small range of men’s gifting for Christmas, which will come into stores in November, and then a slightly bigger range for most of the stores in spring/summer [next year].”
He could not confirm which stores would receive the menswear offer, though he said it will be in “most”. Pricing will be “follow the same pattern” as its womenswear, which ranges from £1 to £25, with 95% of products priced under £10.
