Italian womenswear brand Pinko will open its second UK store this autumn as it ramps up its wholesale distribution.
Founder and president Pietro Negra aims to boost the brand's UK sales to EUR12 million (£8.1m) by the end of next year.
UK sales are forecast to reach EUR6.5m (£4.4m) this year, up from EUR2.75m (£1.86m) in 2005, the brand's first year in the UK.
Pinko has a store on London's Brompton Road, as well as shop-in-shops in Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and Harrods and about 30 UK wholesale accounts. Negra said he planned to increase this figure to about 45 accounts.
Pinko's second London store is due to open in September on London's King's Road.
Negra said: "We are convinced that the new store will perform even better than the Brompton Road shop." He added that the debut store had got off to a "shy" start due to high rents and the strength of the pound.
A store revamp and a high-profile party during London Fashion Week in February, attended by pop star Mariah Carey as an ambassador of the brand, had boosted its profile and performance, said Negra.
Pinko is also considering opening more UK stores in cities outside London.
