Plus sizes to increase at MK One

MK One is expanding its plus-size range Chapter in all stores as it aims to challenge New Look and Peacocks in the sector. It follows the trial of a shopfit last October that gives more space to the collection. The concept, which was trialled in stores in Workington in Cumbria, Newport in south Wales, Maidstone in Kent, Worcester, Preston in Lancashire and Kirkcaldy in Scotland, divided the womenswear offer into three different areas - the mainline, teen range Sophie, and Chapter, which caters for sizes 18 to 24. Chief executive Dominic Galvin said 55 shops would be refurbished this year, with the rest of its 173 UK stores to follow.
