Poor first-half performance at Intimas Group

Lingerie supplier Intimas Group said performance for the first half of the year would be worse than expected. Intimas, whose brands include Lepel and Charnos, blamed the downturn on the loss of the Contessa business, a cut in private-label swimwear and tougher trading terms with some suppliers. However, chairman Michael Hobbs said autumn orders looked strong and he expected second-half performance from its branded and private-label business to be ahead of the second half of last year.
