Poundland-owned Pep&Co has announced plans to debut a trend-led collection.
Poundland says the collection is expected to trade from 300 stores by mid-June. It will showcase a preview of its autumn 18 collection later this month.
The decision to launch a trend-led collection forms part of the company’s plan to compete with retailers such as Primark for the value fashion market.
Pep&Co’s head of buying & design Maria Epaminondas said the range will combine style and affordability. Prices will start at £1, and a large proportion of the collection will retail for less than £10.
Epaminondas said: “We’re making waves in discount fashion because our team is focused on creating looks and styles that are not beyond the pocket of ordinary families, and we’re looking forward to sharing our work.”
