Pratotrade, the Italian consortium of textiles firms, has joined forces with trade show organiser Pitti Immagine to present a new textiles show alongside knit yarn exhibition Pitti Filati in Florence on July 7-9.
The new show, called Prima Moda Tessuto, will offer an early season appointment for textiles buyers. It will be the first dedicated autumn 10 textiles show on the buying calendar.
The show will take place at the Fortezza da Basso venue, and organisers have invited exhibitors from beyond the traditional textile-producing Prato region of Italy, opening it up to international firms. The idea is to obtain the participation of as many national and international textile manufacturers as possible, according to the organisers.
Exhibitors will need to display quality, innovation and research, as well as a high fashion content, according to Vincenzo Pagano, director of Pratotrade.
Raffaello Napoleone, managing director of Pitti Immagine, said: “It seemed right to accept co-operation from a different but complementary sector to that of yarns.”
