Premier Kids goes Green

Kidswear event Premier Kids is to launch a new environmental section at its next edition in January.

The Eco Kids section will be dedicated to 100% organic cotton and fair trade products, as well as those using recycled materials.

In addition to showing green brands, the section will include seminars led by buying consultants with 20 years’ experience. One seminar will be called Your Eco Story: from Fibres to Fashion, which will include fibre and fabric education along with information about green products, fair trade and branding.

Over 400 collections are expected to show at the next edition of Premier Kids, which will take place in Hall 16 in the NEC in Birmingham from 27 to 29 January 2008. Among them will be Bobux, a baby footwear label that has been spotted on the feet of offspring of celebrities including Gerry Halliwell and Angelina Jolie.
