Visitor numbers at Parisian fabric trade show Premiere Vision rose this season, with UK buyer numbers also up.
Premiere Vision Pluriel, the group of six trade shows to which Première Vision belongs, reported a 5.5% increase in visitors to 61,641 compared with last February. The six shows hosted 1,772 exhibitors from more than 30 countries.
Premier Vision and Expofil, an international show of yarns and fibres, had 51,854 visitors, an increase of 17% on last year. International visitors made up 73% of the total, with attendees coming from countries including Turkey, South Korea and America.
The number of visitors from the UK rose by 12% on last year and made up 13% of total figures.
Indigo, the creative textile and surface design show, experienced a 6.7% increase in visitors to 14,966, while Modamont, the trimmings and components show, saw visitor numbers soar 20% to 27,065.
Leather and fur show Cuir à Paris delivered a 33% rise to 17,361, with 10% of visitors coming from the UK. Zoom, the trade show for manufacturing specialists, posted a stable attendance of 8,026.
