Premium pulls record visitor numbers

Visitors to Berlin trade fair Premium rose to 41,000 this season, with 11% of visitors from the UK and Ireland, and more than half of total visitors from overseas.

Some 41,807 visitors attended the show against 31,000 this time last year, while more than 900 brands showed at the fair.

Some 11% of visitors were from the UK and Ireland, 48% of visitors were German speaking, 21% were Italian buyers, 13% were from Benelux. Some 4% visitors came from Scandinavia and 3% were overseas buyers from Japan, China, Russia, USA.

Premium founder and joint chief executive Anita Tillmann said: “We’re more than satisfied. We started with 70 designers 15 seasons ago in January 2003. We now have well over 900 collections from the Premium segment, which we present in our location Station-Berlin.”

The show ran from January 20 to 22 and the next edition runs from July 7 to 9.
