Primark boosts Colchester shopping centre footfall by 30%

The launch of Primark in Colchester Lion Walk shopping centre last month has boosted footfall by 30%, owner CBRE Global Investors has reported.

Primark opened a 56,000 sq ft store at Lion Walk on 9 February. The centre is also home to retailers including Topshop, River Island, New Look and Marks & Spencer.

Average daily footfall at the centre is now 30,000, compared with 23,000 before Primark opened.

While CBRE Global Investors owns the shopping centre, it is being let by Savills.
