Primark is expanding its out-of-town portfolio with the launch of three new stores in Chester, Birmingham and York.
Primark at Fort Kinnaird
The value retailer, which typically operates on high streets or in shopping centres, currently has four of its 207 UK and Irish stores in out-of-town locations at Westwood Cross in Margate, Banbury Gateway, Milton Keynes Stadium and Edinburgh Fort Kinnaird.
It will open a 38,600 sq ft store at Broughton shopping park in Chester on March 15, a 44,300 sq ft store at Birmingham Fort shopping park on March 16 and a 57,600 sq ft store at Monks Cross shopping park in York in summer this year.
Primark will also open a new 1.1 million sq ft UK warehouse in Islip in Northamptonshire by the summer and will move operations from its Magna Park facility over the following months.
