Primark owner names new chairman

Primark parent Associated British Foods (ABF) has appointed non-executive director Michael McLintock as its new chairman, as Charles Sinclair steps down from the role.

Sinclair will retire from the board on 11 April, when McLintock will succeed him as company chairman and chairman of the nomination committee.

McLintock joined the group in November. He was previously chief executive of influential fund manager M&G Investments.
