Primark is understood to have bust its record for one-day one-store sales last Saturday at its London Oxford Street branch.
According to The Independent newspaper, Primark’s store on Oxford Street in London took in excess of £600,000 on Saturday.
Trade was likely to have been boosted by the annual traffic-free day held in London’s West End before Christmas.
Primark’s Oxford Street store sales for the year are understood to be “well ahead” of last year, according to the newspaper.
Primark’s sales exploded by 37% to £1.6 billion while profits jumped 20% to £200 million for the year to September 15.
