Prince George boosts sales at Rachel Riley

Kidswear designer Rachel Riley has been deluged with shoppers trying to get their hands on the pair of dungarees worn by Prince George in his first media appearance last week.

The sailboat smocked dungarees, retailing at £75, have sold out at all Rachel Riley stockists, which include Selfridges and Harrods. There is now a waiting list for the product.

The British designer told Drapers she was “honoured” that the future monarch was dressed in her product during his first official outing.

She said: “We have had a huge amount of interest in both the dungarees and our wider product offer. It’s incredible to have such a high-profile customer and to see our designs on the cover of every newspaper. Personally, I’m delighted to have our product on the royal baby – it’s a real honour.”

Rachel Riley currently has 120 stockists worldwide, with 50 based in the UK.
