Lorraine Pringle steps back from Radley

Lorraine Pringle has left accessories business Radley after less than two years.

Pringle joined as brand director in November 2011 from Warehouse, but amid much movement within the team – including the shock departure of chief executive Sven Gaede and return of Roger Best from retirement and the eventual hiring of Xavier Simonet as a replacement – stepped into a consultancy role last autumn.

After 20 months, she is now leaving to focus on her own business full time, the details of which are not yet known.

Simonet said: “We thank Lorraine Pringle for her work on developing fashion credibility for Radley and her contribution towards bringing the PR function in-house.”

“We wish her the best of luck,” he added.

Pringle said: “I am delighted to have helped Radley create momentum and to have put Radley on the fashion map. Radley is for sure a brand to watch.”

Earlier this year, Radley published its results for the year to April 30, revealing that earnings halved to £4.8m from £9.6m the year before.

Combined turnover fell to £67m, down from just over £70m for the previous 12 months.
