Profits fall at Manolo Blahnik

Profits before tax at Manolo Blahnik fell 28% from £9.7m to £7m in the year to 31 December 2017.

Turnover at the luxury footwear firm increased by 2% to £30.6m, followinga “strong performance” in stores and online.

The company blamed currency fluctuations, increased staff and marketing costs, and branching into men’s footwear for the fall in profits.
