Pure London launches Made in Britain bursary scheme

Trade show Pure London has announced a bursary scheme for Made in Britain brands to showcase their collections at the upcoming spring 19 edition.

The scheme will provide British brands with 65 sq ft of space including a stand build, furniture, lighting and carpet for a “nominal fee”.

To be eligible applicants need to be based in and have production in the UK.

Julie Driscoll, managing director of Pure London said: “Pure London is a global exhibition but we have always championed British fashion.

“We seek to nurture the next generation of home-grown talent. This bursary is an initiative to enable designers, brands, suppiers and manufacturers to kick start their careers.”

The next edition of Pure London and Pure Origin take place from 22 July - 24 July.

  • This is is basically giving away or selling off cheap space in the exhibition, dressed up as something worthy. Pure must be desperate, no one I know goes to this show anymore at it has completely lost its integrity and focus. A friend's brand was recently offered a free stand! This would never happen at the French shows
