Fast fashion womenswear retailer Quiz has reported record financial results for the year to 31 March 2016, driven by omnichannel growth.
Revenue at the retailer hit £87.4m, up from £78.2m year on year and profit before tax grew by 17% to £5.7m. UK retail sales excluding ecommerce were up by 10% but it was online sales that saw the real growth, up by 33%.
Founder Tarak Ramzan said the results reflected the “growing appeal of the Quiz brand.”
Quiz is also stepping up its retail footprint in the UK and Ireland. It has opened 40 new stores and concessions over the last 12 months and is planning another six standalone stores in the first quarter of 2017. Existing stores have been updated with a new “boutique” look, including a 2,800 sq ft store in the Intu Merry Hill shopping centre in Birmingham.
