Fast fashion womenswear retailer Quiz has partnered with Zalando to sell on the German etailer’s websites.
Zalando is Quiz’s biggest international online partner to date, and will support Quiz in expanding its international presence and online offer.
A selection of the core collection will be available through Zalando’s site including a range of eveningwear, occasionwear and dressy casualwear.
Quiz products will initially be available through the German site. It plans to launch on the UK and France websites shortly afterwards.
Quiz will be launching on a direct dispatch model with Zalando: customer orders will be fulfilled from Quiz’s Glasgow distribution centre.
The Zalando partnership is part of a major online push for Quiz. For the year to 31 March 2016, it announced internet sales had increased by 33%, which helped drive earnings 18% higher to £7.1m.
In March 2017 alone, online retail sales increased 103%.
This online growth is supported with an increasing international footprint. Using a mix of consignment, concessions and a franchise model, Quiz trades in more than 20 countries across mainland Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Earlier this month, Quiz reopened its flagship at Westfield Stratford City with a new digital focus, including a digital kiosk, iPads and a social wall.
Sheraz Ramzan, business development director of Quiz, said: “Zalando is a key strategic partner as we look to expand our reach and deliver a great brand experience to customers in these markets. We are seeing fantastic growth online and our partnership with Zalando further reinforces our plans to expand our international presence and make our offering more accessible to women all over the world.”
