Radley chief executive resigns

Chief executive of Radley Xavier Simonet has resigned from his role after two years to return to Australia.

Simonet, who lived in Australia with his family before joining the brand, will return to Melbourne to become the boss of outdoor brand Kathmandu.

He will leave Radley in the next six months and the business is currently looking for a replacement.

Simonet said: “I am very sorry to leave such a great British brand, but the pull of Australia was too difficult for me to resist for both myself and my family. I am leaving the company with a strong team in place and solid growth momentum.”

Roger Best, chairman of Radley, said: “Under Xavier’s leadership, Radley has seen a steady growth in profits and started to become a truly international brand, establishing itself globally as a leading British premium handbag and accessories brand. We will now appoint a new chief executive who will continue that growth journey.”
