Radley Christmas trading up across all platforms

Accessories brand Radley has reported strong Christmas trading results, with an 11% year-on-year increase in like-for-like sales across bricks and mortar and online for the eight weeks for December 31.

The business said its ecommerce store benefitted from a “significant” spike in traffic between Black Friday on November 28 and Cyber Monday on December 1. It also launched its handbag personalisation service during the eight-week period.

Chief executive Xavier Simonet said the brand is looking forward to continued growth in the UK and internationally in 2015, but did not provide details, a breakdown of the sales figures or an update on its profits.

Radley was founded in 1998 and is owned by Exponent Private Equity. It currently sells its range of handbags, leather goods, luggage, eyewear, watches and accessories in the UK via 33 stores, online at and in stockists including John Lewis and House of Fraser.
