Radley ramps up international plans

Radley is poised to launch in at least eight new territories in the next few months, kicking off with a deal to enter South Africa.

The women’s accessories brand will be stocked in all 16 branches of South African department store chain Stuttafords for autumn 13.
The handbag specialist is also launching in New Zealand through Wellington department store Kirkcaldie & Stains. Indian premium chain The Collective has placed an order for autumn 13.
Radley will also launch in Germany on September 1, via six branches of department store Karstadt.
The brand is in discussions with stores in Australia, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, with a view to launching in all four territories for spring 14.
Chief executive Xavier Simonet told Drapers that Radley was breaking into new territories much faster than expected. “I was not particularly conservative with my forecasts, but we are going much faster than I thought,” he added.
