Accessories brand Radley is launching a new store concept in the UK, starting with its branches in Liverpool, Glasgow and Floral Street in Covent Garden.
The first UK stores will be revamped in the next three months, before the design is rolled out to more shops later this year.
The move follows international expansion at the British business, which is opening a franchise store in Taipei, Taiwan, later this month with partner Yun San. This will be the first Radley shop to carry the new design.
Radley will also open five stores in the UK in the next two to three years.
Chief executive Xavier Simonet told Drapers: “We need another two stores in London and we’re also looking for opportunities in other cities across the UK. Travel retail and duty free is also very strong for us so we will be looking at expanding that end of the business.”
Radley also intends to open another 10 stores in the Middle East and Asia, including China, over the next three years through franchise partners and department stores.
“We’re strong across all channels in the UK so we will be launching internationally in a variety of models”, Simonet added. “We’ll be opening step by step in key markets where we see traction.”
The company is accelerating its concessions business by adding five to the 10 it already has in various Japanese department stores. It is also adding 17 to the three it has in German retailer Karstadt.
In July, Radley will make its Australian debut by opening concessions in five branches of department store David Jones.
The company has 65 concessions in 10 countries. In the UK, Radley has 33 standalone stores and 200 wholesale accounts.
