Ralph & Russo will the first British brand in more than a century to exhibit on schedule at Paris Haute Couture week next season.
The show, which is scheduled to take place on January 23 at an undisclosed location, will see the brand showing its haute couture collection alongside labels including Chanel, Dior and Valentino.
Speaking about the show’s strict guidelines and criteria, Didier Grumbach, president of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, said: “We expect savoir faire, which is being lost, and they [Ralph & Russo] have it”.
Tamara Ralph, creative director at Ralph & Russo, said she was “humbled” by the acceptance, calling it the “ultimate distinction” in fashion.
Michael Russo, chief executive of Sloane Street-based Ralph & Russo, added: “The stage is set, the collection designed and the atelier is buzzing. The show we have planned promises to be nothing short of spectacular whilst still remaining true to our values of exclusivity.”
