Ram-raiders hit Notts boutique

Ram-raiders have ransacked Bridge Boutique in West Bridgeford, Nottinghamshire, stealing and damaging £10,000 worth of stock and fixtures.

The shop, which had only been open for three months, is owned by ex-Nottingham Forest football player Matthew Turner and fiancée Amanda Arthurs.

The attack happened last month, with the assailants using a car to smash through the front of the building, destroying the front wall, door and window.

More than half of the store’s merchandise was taken in the smash and grab, including Gucci product and clothes by brands including French Connection, Lipsy and Kuyichi Jeans.

The store has been closed while the damage is assessed and building repairs are carried out. Co-owner Arthurs told Drapers: “It’s awful. The store looks a bit naff and I need to get it up and running and cleared up. I want to be open as soonas possible because I can’t afford to lose any more trading days. Suppliers have been really good to us, sending in more product straight away.”
