Streetwear brand Ratchet Clothing, launched two-years ago by 18-year-old Dhillan Bhardwaj, has opened its second store at Intu Lakeside in Essex and created an exclusive range for the shopping centre owner’s website.
The young fashion brand, known for its signature tie-dye T-shirts, opened a 1,300 sq ft store at Lakeside last week and has designed a 30-piece exclusive range of T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies and bags for the landlord Intu’s transactional Intu.co.uk website.
Ratchet Clothing opened its first store in Long Eaton, near Nottingham, in March this year. Retail prices for the full collection start at £19.99 for T-shirts and £29.99 for hoodies.
The brand predicts it will double its turnover to £1m in 2014. It has been a powerful force on social media, where Bhardwaj has more than 400,000 followers.
It has already attracted celebrity endorsements from the likes of singer Miley Cyrus and gossip columnist Perez Hilton, while X Factor contestant Lauren Platt and TV presenter Keith Lemon have been seen wearing the range.
Bhardwaj said: “It was an amazing feeling to see queues outside the store and I’m really excited about the launch of an exclusive range on Intu.co.uk too. With the support of Intu, everyone everywhere will be able to get hold of the latest Ratchet style.”
