Pre-owned fashion online marketplace Rebelle has completed a multi-million euro funding round, which will be used to finance international expansion.
Rebelle said its latest round is worth a seven-figure sum in euros, but did not disclose any further details on its exact value.
The round was led by Danish fashion entrepreneur Niels Martinsen’s investment vehicle, called Friheden Invest. The platform’s existing shareholders also participated.
Martinsen’s other holdings include “significant” stakes in listed Scandinavian company IC Group, which operates clothing labels including Peak Performance, Tiger of Sweden and By Malene Birger, and Nordic ecommerce business Boozt Fashion.
The company was founded in 2013 and is based in Hamburg. Its designer-brand offering includes Hermès, Gucci and Louis Vuitton.
According to Rebelle, around 60% of its transactions are made overseas. Approximately 100,000 items from customers in 29 countries are available on the website, which records more than one million visitors per month.
