Redundancies at Oliver Sweeney

Footwear retailer Oliver Sweeney has made five redundancies as part of a team reorganisation, Drapers has learned.

Drapers understands the cuts are concentrated in the wholesale team, as the business is shifting its focus to retail and licensing.

Oliver Sweeney employs a total of 45 people in its head office team.

In February, Chris Webster was appointed as managing director and chief operating officer to take charge of the operational and commercial side of the retailer.

The firm has since integrated its customer service and sales team to create an omnichannel sales and operations team with a single customer focus.
