Regatta, the outdoor clothing and footwear group, saw sales rise by 32% for the first quarter against the same period the previous year.
Regatta, which owns the Regatta, Craghoppers, Dare2b and Hawkshead brands, attributed the growth to its "strong position" within the outdoor sector and to its recent promotional activities.
Regatta marketing director Graham Rickard said: "It's extremely encouraging to know that as we all feel the effects of the credit crisis, families are continuing to enjoy activities in the great outdoors. Regatta's range of products enables families to enjoy inexpensive days out despite our unpredictable UK climate by providing products for all eventualities at great value prices."
Regatta said the outlook for the rest of 2008 is positive, and that it had strong forward order books for autumn 08.
