Reiss to launch in Europe

Reiss is set to expand into Europe following the appointment of new brand director Andy Rogers, who starts today, as revealed by Drapers on June 7.

Reiss founder and managing director David Reiss said: “With Andy Rogers coming over we can start to move into these markets - places like Paris, Stockholm and Copenhagen. We’ve now got the right infrastructure in place.”

Rogers joined the retailer from luxury brand Stella McCartney, where he was visual creative director. It is the first time Reiss has had a brand director.

The retailer is also due to launch a premium line, Black Label, for autumn 08. It will feature higher-priced occassionwear pieces with a vintage feel.

Reiss has 65 stores in the UK and US, and franchise outlets in Hong Kong and the Middle East. Sales are around £80 million with £10 million of pre-tax profits.
