Republic expands multi-channel offer

Young fashion chain Republic has boosted its multi-channel proposition with the launch of a Facebook store and extending its deals initiative on the social network to further stores.

The online store on Republic’s Facebook fan page is non-transactional but allows users to browse and select products before directing customers to its website to complete the transaction.

The retailer is also expanding its Facebook Deals service. Five months ago it launched an initiative in which customers could ‘check in’ on Facebook when visiting one of Republic’s flagship stores in Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, Leeds and London and receive special deals and discounts. It is now rolling out the service to a further 25 stores.

Natalie Primus, head of social media at Republic, said: “The new store is the perfect way to reach young, fashionable, internet-savvy consumers who enjoy spending time on Facebook and sharing content with friends.”
