Republic to introduce new brands online

Young fashion chain Republic is set to add a raft of brands to its online store next year.

Denim brands Levi’s and Wrangler and young fashion brands Luke and French Connection will be sold alongside about 20 existing brands such as G-Star, Fenchurch and Firetrap from next summer.

Visitors to the Republic site will be able to buy footwear from Luke, menswear from Levi’s, menswear from Wrangler and menswear and womenswear from French Connection.

Tim Whitworth, chief executive of Republic said: “Online allows us to broaden our offering enabling us to create a varied brand portfolio tailored to our customers needs.”

Republic, which has 113 stores, was bought by private equity house TPG in June from private equity owner Change Capital.
