A new online analysis and research tool called Traq has launched for fashion retailers and brands.
Traq ranks brands by their global appeal and identifies the top performers within certain product categories, market position and location.
Founder Paul Bustin said he developed the tool because 80% of destination shoppers now research products and brands online and through social media before they go to a store or make a purchase.
“By understanding the detail of online shopping and social media activity, Traq can produce valuable benchmarks and insights for brands and key supplying industries,” he said.
Bustin, whose previous launches include Static 2358 and Travel Assets Group, has hired Dan Gyves as sales and marketing director.
Gyves is a non-executive director of the British Footwear Association and co-founder of women’s footwear brand Esska. He has previously worked for Dr Martens, Austin Reed and Pentland Brands.
