River Island and Joules complete Hereford's Old Market line up

High street chains River Island and Joules are the latest names to sign up to Old Market shopping centre in Hereford, completing its retail offer.

River Island has taken 12,900 sq ft of space and Joules has signed for a 1,700 sq ft store, both on 10 year leases. The retailers will join the existing fashion provision that includes H&M, Next, Fat Face, TK Maxx and Outfit.

The £90m scheme, which opened on May 1, has welcomed more than 1.6 million visitors to date and is anchored by the city’s only department store, a three-storey, 85,000 sq ft Debenhams.

Claire Barber, head of shopping centre asset management for British Land, said: “It is a testament to the design, quality and location of the scheme that so many brands have chosen Old Market for their first stores in Hereford.”
