In line with the deal, Passion Sports founder and chief executive Tony Greenfield has been named managing director of Passion Sports.
Greenfield will work with Rocket Dog Brands chief executive Mike Womack to develop the strategy for further extension of Rocket Dog’s international distribution.
The move is expected to make the UK distribution run more smoothly, said Alison Lawton, public relations manager for Passion Sports. She added: "Supply-wise we will be more integrated and will still be quite autonomous."
Passion Sports has been distributing Rocket Dog since 2001 and now operates in 19 countries.
Womack added: "Tony and his team at Passion Sports have been an integral part of our successful European distribution strategy and have created a significant amount of brand equity for Rocket Dog.
We are excited to collaborate with the Passion team to evaluate how we can continue to develop exciting new products to meet the demands of customers across the globe. We look forward to their expanded role as we embark upon this next phase in the growth of the Rocket Dog brand."
