Sainsbury's voted nation's favourite fashion retailer

Sainsbury’s has been voted the nation’s favourite fashion retailer for its Tu brand, according to the latest shopper survey, beating Asda into second place, followed my Marks & Spencer.

Retail research specialist Conlumino’s survey of 6,000 shoppers across the UK found John Lewis was once again the nation’s favourite retailer overall, with Amazon taking the top spot for best online retailer.

Sainsbury’s own label Tu and Asda’s George brand were considered the two favourite fashion buys, according to those polled.

Conlumino said the result showed the extent to which the supermarkets’ combination of delivering good design and low prices was popular with shoppers. It said Sainsbury’s 10-year-old Tu range was also praised for its high quality.

“Tu is something of a hidden gem” says Stephen Ward, commercial director at Conlumino. “It is one of those brands that not everyone has discovered but when they do they are pleasantly surprised and become dedicated consumers.”

Shop Direct was voted favourite online fashion retailer, ahead of Asos and Debenhams.

Sportswear business Nike was voted to have the best in-store experience.
