Sales boss joins Liberty’s label

Luxury department store Liberty is stepping up its efforts to expand its Liberty of London own-label business, by recruiting a new sales director.

Fabio Guidetti will oversee international business development for the London retailer’s standalone fashion and accessories brand.
He joins Liberty from Pringle of Scotland, where he was head of international sales, and will report directly to Liberty chief executive Geoffroy de La Bourdonnaye. Guidetti will also work in partnership with creative director Tamara Salman.

The first Liberty of London standalone store opened on London’s Sloane Street in June. The label has about 100 stockists worldwide and recorded sales of £3.2 million last year.
De La Bourdonnaye said the appointment would help make Liberty of London a global brand.
