Sales climb at Bluewater

Sales at Kent shopping centre Bluewater increased during May as clothing revenues rose.

Sales climbed 6.6% in May compared with the same month last year, as footfall rose 2%. Clothing sales increased 6% and revenues at accessories retailers grew 10%.

Bluewater’s general manager Robert Goodman said: “This is another great result for Bluewater, and one that reflects our focus on constantly evolving the offer and experience to create something new on every visit.

“So far this year, a number of brands have opened statement stores or regional flagships at Bluewater, including Superdry, Triumph, Tempur and Choice, and they are trading beyond expectations.”
