Richard Chadwick, a former sales manager in the denim sector, has died aged 65
Chadwick retired from the industry last year. His last position was as territory sales manager for the south west at Lee Cooper. He also worked at men’s denim brand Brutus during his career.
Chadwick died from a heart attack during a skiing trip with friends last month.
Kelvin Vidler, who was managing director at Lee Cooper and worked alongside Chadwick, said: “Richard retired from the business a little under a year ago, and sadly will not get the time he dearly wanted to spend with his family and friends and particularly his grandchildren, as well as the odd round of golf. He leaves behind many happy and fond memories for many of us of a time when the business was a lot more fun.
“In the 11 years I worked with Richard I found him to be the rarest of all sales people - he never moaned about product, always hit his targets and had a fantastic relationship with both staff and customers. He was a real one-off who I was privileged to know as a colleague and, more importantly, as a friend.”
