Sales pop up 18% at Toast

French Connection-owned business Toast’s revenue has grown 18% during the year to date compared to the same period in 2015, following the appointment of its first chief executive.

Toast attributed the improvement in performance to the appointment of former FitFlop boss Suzie de Rohan Willner as CEO, a review of its offering and a “passionate” focus on product.

De Rohan Willner said: “Revenue has increased against last year as we have refocused on our original brand proposition and values, and refined our product range to generate a curated collection that is increasingly appealing to our growing customer base.”

Launched by the Seatons in 1997 as a catalogue company, Toast now has 12 stores in the UK.  It stocks womenswear and homewares. It is resting its menswear offer, but a message on its site says it will return in the future.
